Beyond the ordinary

This is where our journey begins. Get to know us and what we do, and how we're committed to quality and great service. Join us as we grow and succeed together. We're glad you're here to be a part of our story.

Beyond the ordinary-Who?

As a registered charity ourselves we will be able to attract and retain top quality staff and volunteers. Our goal is to have a steady stream of volunteers at the cash registers, sorting stations and sales floors, in addition to community groups, churches and corporate volunteers. All supported by highly trained and motivated staff.

Beyond the ordinary- WHY?

As charitable donations decline, second-hand retail is on the rise. Canadians are looking for value, and donors are looking for innovative, low-friction ways to make a difference.

Thrifty Mart meets both needs.

This is a self-sustaining model that maximizes the value of every donated item, and every dollar. Corporate sponsors will be able to  support the causes they care about — without writing a cheque — simply by endorsing our store and referring organizations for funding.

Beyond the ordinary- Why Us, Why Now?

The chance to shop with purpose

"Thrifty Mart represents a bold and much-needed solution to the growing gap in community funding. By creating a sustainable source of support for local charities, this initiative will have a lasting, measurable impact on those most in need."
